Guide Dog Mobility Assessment

Had my first assessment for my guide dog application this evening. Nothing to write about really. This bit was all about me. whether my mobility needs had changed, or whether my sight had changed. A little bit about the sort of places I would be working a dog and a health questionnaire. A short walk to assess how well I knew my surroundings and that was it.

The dog bit comes on the next interview so its for that one that I will have to get my criteria ready.

Trying not to think about it too much. Its just information gathering at this stage.

About Mel Griffiths

I live and work in Nottingham, England and am blind. This blog is often centred around things that happen to me because of being blind. This is my space to write and sometimes people will disagree with what I write, but its the one place I have in which to be frank and honest. I also like to reflect on the funnier side of life from time to time.
