Don’t Buy a Trekker from Humanware in the UK

Have heard on good authority, albeit unofficial, that the Trekker is being supplied in the UK running on an inferior PDA.

It was originally available on either a Dell PDA or an HP. The Dell is infinitely superior to the HP, and having seen them both in action, it is so noticeable. The HP is virtually unusable as it is so slow and unreliable.

Humanware, however, sold their last Dell at the beginning of this month and now have 18 months supply of the HP which they are happy to sell at the same price, knowing that their product is inferior.

If I manage to prevent even one blind person from wasting over £1000 on a product which even the company themselves are accepting is barely fit for purpose, then this journal is worth the server space on which it resides.

About Mel Griffiths

I live and work in Nottingham, England and am blind. This blog is often centred around things that happen to me because of being blind. This is my space to write and sometimes people will disagree with what I write, but its the one place I have in which to be frank and honest. I also like to reflect on the funnier side of life from time to time.
