Goodbye Nana

I don’t usually post personal stuff like this, but just to say that my Nana died in the early hours of this morning. Apparently it was very peaceful and the good thing was that although she went down hill fast, she was not ill or in pain. She was just old, bless her.

I wasn’t particularly close to her, but in some ways we were very similar and used to have some great conversations and sparky debates. I’ll miss her. I’m so glad I went to see her on Monday while she was still alert enough to recognise me.

About Mel Griffiths

I live and work in Nottingham, England and am blind. This blog is often centred around things that happen to me because of being blind. This is my space to write and sometimes people will disagree with what I write, but its the one place I have in which to be frank and honest. I also like to reflect on the funnier side of life from time to time.
