Blood Brothers

I can’t believe that I forgot to post about Blood Brothers which was a far better show than the 39 steps. We saw that the week previously at the Theatre Royal in Nottingham.

I’d never seen it before, although my partner is a big fan of it. I found the first half a little slow but thoroughly enjoyed the second half, crying unashamedly at the end.

Once again we received outstanding help at the theatre. Although we had front row seats, these were a little further back because an orchestra pit had been put in place of rows A and B. This meant that we had very little space, either for the dog or my partner’s long legs. In the interval, one of the theatre staff approached us and asked if we’d like to move to a box which was empty. We jumped at the chance and had a very comfortable second half.

About Mel Griffiths

I live and work in Nottingham, England and am blind. This blog is often centred around things that happen to me because of being blind. This is my space to write and sometimes people will disagree with what I write, but its the one place I have in which to be frank and honest. I also like to reflect on the funnier side of life from time to time.
