Great Experience at M and S

I’m always moaning on about bad experiences I have as a result of being blind, so thought it only fair to write about a good experience.

My partner and I went to Marks and Spencer’s yesterday to buy underwear! (well you always go to good old M and S for underwear don’t you!) When we arrived, a lady came to us and took us round. She was fab. Whilst I got myself measured, she took my partner off to buy his bits and pieces. The thing I liked about her is that she was completely natural with us. She even advised me on colour at one point which was fantastic.

At the end of our shopping I joked with her and said I’d like to book her for half a day to take me clothes shopping. She said in all seriousness that it would be no problem, so I may just do that!

On the way out she even gave us directions to the nearewst Starbuck’s.

It was such a refreshing change to the negativity or awkwardness we so often face and we came home feeling very positive and relaxed, with all the shopping we’d gone out for.

About Mel Griffiths

I live and work in Nottingham, England and am blind. This blog is often centred around things that happen to me because of being blind. This is my space to write and sometimes people will disagree with what I write, but its the one place I have in which to be frank and honest. I also like to reflect on the funnier side of life from time to time.
