The Cowes Tandoori

Should you wish to look at their web site, it can be found at

However, I wouldn’t personally recommend it. Myself and four friends attempted to visit it at the beginning of October during a holiday on the Isle of Wight. We were told very firmly that we were not welcome there because of my guide dog and the staff would not enter into any dialogue about the DDA, or guide dogs.

For this reason, they have been sent a letter suggesting that their actions were discriminatory and asking how they intend to resolve this.

am awaiting their response with interest.

About Mel Griffiths

I live and work in Nottingham, England and am blind. This blog is often centred around things that happen to me because of being blind. This is my space to write and sometimes people will disagree with what I write, but its the one place I have in which to be frank and honest. I also like to reflect on the funnier side of life from time to time.
